We take freedom for granted. We take democracy for granted. But that is not the case for everyone.
In this book you'll hear from six hbtq-people. They have fled from war, death threats, blood and assault. They travel to Sweden with their own individual emotional baggage, in the hope that they will be safe here. But there are difficulties here as well. When you are used to a reality where loving someone of the same sex, or identifying as something other than the gender you were born as equals death, how easy do you think it is to tell a perfect stranger about this? A stranger who doesn't understand your language. And then you realise that the interpreter is a friend of the family. What would you have done?
