When a new colony is discovered, hidden deep in the Scandinavian mountains, it is placed under surveillance. Unmarked on any map, the settlement appears to have existed in complete isolation for generations. Covert investigations unveils a chilling urban legend of violent mountain people that don't seem to age and a valley that is warm and lush all year round.
A car accident outside Stockholm forces the colony's strongman, known as the Mountain King by the locals, to break his isolation and contact the outside world. When a mysterious bag stuffed with millions in cash vanishes from the crash site - and, soon after, the injured victim disappears from the hospital - the situation begins to spiral out of control.
Meanwhile, William - a listless office drone with nothing to lose - stumbles upon the missing bag. Adrift in life and running on apathy, he makes a reckless choice and disappears with the money. A decision that will change his life forever and lead him far up north, to a place that shouldn't exist.
